The author describes the development of supervision and supervision education in Estonia and the establishment of the Estonian Supervision and Coaching Association (ESCÜ). Supervision in Estonia began in 1995, when the first education program started. This programme lasted 2.5 years, and 25 supervisors participated in it. The basic theme for the programme was ‘supervision for foster home specialists’. The third group graduated in 2006. The Estonian Supervision Association was established in 1997. Its name was later changed to Estonian Supervision and Coaching Association ESCÜ. Today, it has 91 members.
